The Robert Koch Institute in Berlin is a central monitoring and research facility of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its tasks are the observation of the occurrence of diseases and health hazards, as well as the development of measures for their defense and protection of the health of the population.
Two new buildings were erected at the Seestraße site for new research and safety facilities (Biosafety Level 4), as well as central administration facilities.
We have equipped these buildings with cabinets for the control of heating, ventilation and smoke extraction systems, and we also designed, built and installed single-room controllers or floor distributors in special dimensions for installation in the suspended ceilings of the corridors.
For the control of the locks to the S3 and S4 laboratories, we have built special pneumatic control units designed to prevent the distribution of bacteria and pathogens.
The construction management and execution of the measurement and control system installation were also part of our service.
